How We Got Started

Three years ago, Laryssa established a design firm with a mission to educate businesses and the community on the benefits of incorporating logical (otherwise known as sustainable) design practices into their marketing and graphic design. This mission transpired while she worked for a marketing agency designing direct mail packages that were mass-produced, mailed nation-wide, and thrown away by the majority of its recipients. Laryssa knew she could develop more effective, cheaper, and less wasteful ways to reach the consumer.

In an effort to keep the business as simple and cost effective as possible, the design firm was entitled Laryssa Kwoczak Graphic Design, or LKGD for those of you who like acronyms. LKGD's first office was located in Laryssa's home in Northeast Philadelphia and has since moved to University City. The building has a green roof where staff members tend a garden and compost.
